These air fryer kale chips came out very crispy and had a beautiful color and were nice and crunchy. Kale chips are a great healthy snack and are keto-friendly for those who are on a keto diet.
They’re great for a light and quick snack in between meals. Unlike potato chips, you can eat them and not worry about carbohydrates, salt, and oil.
I actually like the earthy-bitter taste of crispy kale. The kale didn’t take long to cook in my Power Xl air fryer and came out just as good as if they were oven-baked.
The only difference I found between oven-baked kale chips and air-fried was that the oven got the kale a little crispier because you can spread the kale out on a large baking sheet, and an oven tends to dry out foods more.
The trick to a really good air fryer kale chips is to not put too much kale in the air fryer basket.
Do kale chips taste good?
That’s the first thing people ask when I ask them if they ever had baked or kale chips cooked in an air fryer. I tell them that they’re better than fresh if you don’t feel like eating a salad.
For me the taste is amazing and the benefits you get outweigh other snacks like chips, pretzels, or even popcorn.
