If you want a very quick snack, try throwing a frozen pizza in an air fryer. It cooks faster than a conventional oven because there is no pre-heat time. In fact, your pizza will be done in the Airfryer before your big oven comes to temp.
The product I used was the Power Air Fryer XL 5.3 Quart and the pizza was a square frozen Totino’s pizza. The total cook time was 8 minutes on 400. I was very impressed and will start cooking personal pan pizzas and other smaller frozen pizzas in the air fryer.
How to make a frozen pizza better
My wife and I always stock up on frozen pizzas when they’re on sale. You can take a mediocre frozen pizza and make it better by adding toppings and ingredients. I typically like to sprinkle on more cheese, a bit of ghost pepper flakes, and spray olive oil all over the pizza with the Misto.
I can’t wait to try the Totino’s pizza rolls cooked in the air fryer and other snacks like mini tacos and egg rolls.
Air Fryer Frozen Pizza
Ingredients
- Frozen pizza personal pan size
- olive oil optional
- extra cheese optional
Instructions
- If you'd like to preheat the air fryer do so for two minutes. Otherwise, I placed the frozen pizza in the air fryer and cooked it on 400 for 8 minutes. Your air fryer might be different than mine so your cooking times may differ. Check the pizza after cooking for five minutes and make sure it's cooked all the way through. The crust should be crispy and the center of the pizza should be very hot.
