The tater tots cooked in the air fryer came out absolutely delicious. In fact, they tasted better than if they were cooked in the oven. The Air Fryer I used was the Power AirFryer XL 5.3 Quart. It has plenty of room and power. See my review here.
The frozen tater tots were done in 10 minutes and were crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. They were actually done in about 9 minutes, but I like my tots extra crispy.
Air Fryer Tator Tots
- 2-3 cups frozen tater tots
- cooking spray optional
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 for 2 minutes
- Place a single layer of tater tots in the basket and set the timer for 10 minutes. Using cooking spray will make them more crispy and golden brown.
- Shake the tots after 5 minutes and continue to cook. Check again after 3 minutes.
